To improve student employability
We have already formed very strong links with a diverse range of local organisations ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large multinationals.
This is one of the most exciting aspects of Chester International School. Regular, meaningful, high quality work placements are fundamental to our education experience.
From those placements, students can best develop the skills and work ethic to succeed in whatever pathway they choose.
Allocation of work placements
We will consider the interests, skills and ambitions of our students when allocating work placements. We will also make every effort to help students who want to gain experience in a particular career area.
We expect to be able to offer placements in architecture, accountancy, business services, creative industries, surveying, graphic design, IT consultancy, journalism, public relations, market research, retailing, energy, engineering, transport, telecommunications and advanced manufacturing to name just a few. We are also aiming to widen our choice of placements through engaging with a number of potential new partners.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch
An international company based in Chester Business Park, BAML has played a large role in the creation of Chester International School.
One of our key partners, they are well placed to advise us on local, regional and international skills shortages.
They will also offer our students opportunities in a variety of teams including investment banking, marketing, communications and HR.
