The Golden Age of Hollywood
(Posted on 15/02/18)
Year 10 students at Chester International School have recently been learning about turn of the century America. We have taken inspiration from the stars of the silent era, including Charlie Chaplin, as we created our very own short silent films.
Students came up with their own plot lines before starring in and filming their clips. They then demonstrated their ever-developing digital literacy skills as they edited the movies to include title slides, ‘live’ music, and black and white filters.
A number of students have uncovered their hidden talents for video editing and acting, as a result of this exciting activity. We may even have the rising stars of tomorrow amongst our eager student body.
Look out Hollywood, here comes CIS!
